"This is my first pair of Vibram Fivefingers, I would recommend going to the store they are located at and trying on a few to get the right fit, the associates at REI were very helpful and knowledgable. These shoes are so comfortable and extremely breathable. I bought the Injinji socks to go with them which makes them about 3 times easier to put on. Which in my opinion is the only downside to these shoes. Not only do these socks reduce friction while putting on the shoes, but they are also extremely comfortable. Follow the recommended usage for the first few weeks and slowly increase from there and the adaptation of the lower legs and feet should be less painful."
