"GO IN PERSON TO THE STORE! Based on the sizing charts, I felt certain that I wanted the men's Bakila LS in a 41, and came very close to making an online purchase. Yet, the second I put them on in the store, I knew the fit was terrible. After nearly two hours in the store, I ended up with a women's Komodo 42. My feet are too narrow for all of the men's models, and with the long second toe. Actually, the third toe is too long, as well. Getting the right fit in these is essential, so try them on before you buy. [...] I chose about the fifth model size that I tried. Buying online would have discouraged me before finding the right fit.With that said, these may be the best shoes I've ever had. My brother spent 1 year in unhelpful physical therapy and was scheduled for back surgery when he tried his Vibrams. Within a few weeks all of his back pain was gone. I made fun of him for more than a year before caving and buying my own. Now I have to eat crow. Great shoes, but try them on for fit at

"I teach a third grade class who are inquisitive about their surroundings so naturally when I showed up wearing these they were curious. I wear mine everywhere I go, and they are so interesting most people will stop you and ask a question or two. My only problem was these smelled worse than Toms, I found soaking them in vinegar and them putting them through the wash will fix that, but oder eaters can't hurt. I run in a different pair than my everyday pair as they show wear from extended use, the wear is cosmetic and doesn't effect performance, however it's nice to have a clean pair for kicking around. Not the best shoes for driving and kickball will cause a few jammed toes."

"Take it slow at first, and let your muscles adjust the to the barefoot running style on the balls of your feet. Once you've gotten the hang of putting the shoes on and off, you'll never want to take them off again.. So comfortable, and they put an extra pep in your step. I recommend grabbing some Injini toe socks for the ultimate comfort level while training. Definitely on board with minimalist shoes."

"Having been using Five Fingers since their appearance almost six years ago, I admit to having mixed feelings about the Komodo Sport; after all, although the "minimalist" nature of the shoe is still evident, Vibram has recently begun introducing properties into their models that make it less minimalist, and more "shoe-like", namely the addition of a padded footbed and the solid ankle support. It started in the Bikila, and carries over into the Komodo, and having become used to the slipper-like feel, I wasn't sure how I'd react. On the flip side, I've never met a FiveFinger I didn't like, so I was willing to give Vibram the benefit of the doubt, and picked up a pair of Komodos.Once again, Vibram comes through.The solid design and ultra-snug fit that made the Fivefingers so very close to perfect continues- indeed, a properly fitted Komodo is probably the most-snug fit in the line-up, with or without socks- and the padded footbed and ankle support make it a significantly better shoe for w
